Artistic Statement
Stories are powerful and therapeutic
If I can change one person's stigma towards another human being, I have done good work.
Based in the UK and Cyprus, I am an award-winning storyteller raised in Hackney, London with Greek-Cypriot roots.
I graduated with a master's in Screenwriting at University of the Arts London. Highlights as a writer include being selected for the LSWF/BBC Casualty Writer’s Room (Roxanne Harvey 2017) and LSWF/BBC Doctor’s Writer’s Room (Loretta Preece 2018). BFI NETWORK South East Writer’s Feature Project Lab (2019) and BFI NETWORK South East Writer’s Treatment Lab AMPLIFY! (Kate Leys 2020).
In 2021, I was selected for the BFI NETWORK Short Film Development Programme (2021) where I wrote my short film idea 'Loose Strands' which I was optioned to direct by Farlane Media. It has screened at BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals. Most recently, winning Best Short Film at Saturn Returns Film Festival 2025. It continues to reach festivals across the UK, Australia and the US.
I write compelling, global and cinematic socially impactful stories about mental health, cultural and gender stigmas within under-represented communities like mine.
